So you are ready to bake and you want it fab and delicious. Here is our fool proof, moist cake recipe. Perfect to ice a tiny smash; no crumbles or make a 6 tiered show stopper.
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 packages of your fave cake mix*
1 small tub of Sour cream
6 eggs; for white cake use 8 eggs whites
2 2/3 cups of water.
1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Trow all this goodnes in your mixer and mix till smoooth.
Into your greased and floured cake pan (I love Bakers Joy so need to dust flour)
350F till your toothpick come out cleam.
Saw that little star well here is how you make varieties:
-Chocolate cake: add 2 TBS of cacao and replace 1 cup of water with fresh brewed coffee
- Any other cake flavor you can just use the box only. Want it extra vanilla trow in some fresh vanilla. The sky is the limit with variations.
4" round: Make 1/2 a batch and this will give you 3 smash cakes
6" round: 1/2 batch makes 2 6" cakes perfect to stack
8" round: 1 batch will get you 3 cakes to stack
12 cupcakes: 1/2 batch BUT add an extra 1/2 cup of water
